Track 6 of Lamb of God's 2006 album, "Sacrament".
All rights reserved to "LAMB OF GOD": Randy Blythe, Mark Morton, Willie Adler, John Campbell, Chris Adler

Lyrics:

The river I'm bound to be found in,
A rope chosen bound for the hang
When I'm blinded I think I see everything
Convincing myself again

This God that I worship (A faded reflection)
This demon I blame (A flickering flame)
Conspire as one, exactly the same
It's exactly the same

Descending
To never recover the pieces
To all that we've lost
Recover the pieces lost
The pieces to all we've lost

I shudder to think of the consequence
It's blasphemy simple and true
The tragic protagonist torments
Convincing myself again

This God that I worship (A faded reflection)
This demon I blame (A flickering flame)
Conspire as one, exactly the same
It's exactly the same

Descending
To never recover the pieces
To all that we've lost
Recover the pieces lost
The pieces to all we've lost

I think Lamb of God has saved me! They help rid me of anger and suicidal thoughts. Thank you!

Chris Adler and Randy Blythe will forever be untouched as best drummer and singer duo in metal.

I sure am glad Randy was never lost and found in a river, or found hanging. I wish I could say the same for my brother, who inadvertently introduced me to Lamb of God by leaving his iPod in my room when visiting from college one fateful day. I still remember the first song I listened to.. For Your Malice. Willie and Mark inspired me to play guitar at age 15, and I am still learning each new album, as one of my hobbies, as they release. Much love to Lamb of God and all of you. RIP Tabor

Chris’ drumming elevates this song to the great song that it is. He adds that second layer underneath that same repetitive riffs or the version of it. Riffage, vocals + drums all spectacular.

Told my Christian grandma to play this because "it was about Angel's descending from heaven to help people" yeah, she was none too happy

1:15-1:30 is the most intense part. The way the song transitions from lyrics to chorus is epic! Those Drums are unrelentingly good.

*THIS SONG MAKES ME WANT TO PICK UP SOMETHING AND*

Put it back down, because I'm too poor to afford another one.

I love how Randy's voice is so guttural but so melodic at the same time

I don't always listen to lamb of god... but when I do... so do my neighbors.

The riffs are good but what makes this song remarkably metal is the drums and vocals. Without it could be a good song but drums and vocals make it truly epic.

I cannot imagine the journey of Chris to come up with this drum section.
