Take an Early Look at the Larger, Longer-Range HondaJet 2600 – AIN

Honda is looking for market feedback on its concept for a larger, longer-range version of its HondaJet. The new model will deliver U.S. transcontinental range of just over 2,600 nautical miles, and be able to carry up to 11 passengers. The company’s designers are looking to deliver midsized cabin comfort, with features such as seats that can be converted to beds and plenty of headroom. But before the design work is complete, Honda wants to hear what prospective customers would like to see in the new HondaJet 2600.

Nice to see that it's still single-pilot and will get an auto-throttle. Adding Garmin's Autoland would be huge in a single-pilot scenario.

The non circular cabin is counter intuitive as a pressure vessel, it must require tremendous bending strength in the sheet material. Maybe they are using a sandwich construction with a spacer. Then it might be small potatoes for carbon fiber and moderate pressurization but still vastly different from the completely relaxed pure tensile load of a circle. Imagine what it would take for a soda bottle to have a long squarish cross section. It would be thiccer than Nicky Minaj.

Love the wing-mounted engines leaving the fuselage free of engine fittings and noise. Gives the jet a neat look in a sea of light jets that all look the same. Also like the bulged front section that gives a spacious flight deck. I wonder if they will install the amazing Garmin Autoland in this, considering it will be mostly flown by a single pilot. In case of pilot incapacitation it would be a brilliant feature.

The real question on the range no one is asking is this: if you fill all the seats, what’s the range then? The Vision Jet shows 1200nm range but that’s with no passengers! If you fill the seats then your range drops to 400nm. That’s why I want to know the true range of this new jet with 8 passengers.

As a single pilot rated aircraft. Keen to see how it'll perform next to types like PC24

Finally somebody offers standard a 4x club + divan with credenza! The best configuration possible, although this particular aircraft seems too small for it. Rather than credenza with TV, which nobody uses, perhaps can set a low buffet or galley.

This is an Industry game-changer as "Honda Jets" start going from "initial run rate production" to mass production which will cause costs to fall for this an entirely new Industry namely "personal jets "

Long $tsla Tesla Motors
Strong buy

4000km range is actually good enough for transatlantic, just a stop at greenland.

How much cost by estimation or bracket may one pay for it .

Is it just me? This interior still looks like it came out of a Ford Pinto. Just like the Honda Jet 420. So boring. Honda, you really need to step up and hire interior designers who actually know what business jet interiors should look like. Your interior looks so dull and boring. And those seats do not look comfortable to sit in for hours on end.
