I'm in awe. I don't know why I'm so obsessed with knifes? I use only a few different ones regularly, but can't stop buying them. Admiration for the beauty and quality of the steel, the materials, the quality of craftsmanship wakes up something primeval inside.

Benchmade? Seriously? How about no.

Case, Kershaw and
Gerber (aka Fiscars) have been good products. Might as well toss in Ka-Bar as well simply due to a few of their fixed blade models. Case is great but they haven't moved much away from the granddaddy folding blade which IMHO is good for peeling apples or cleaning under fingernails but not so much for quick deploy/defensive.
