A) You need to compare it to other split keyboards like the ErgoDox which is $325 for the base model. Comparatively speaking this is cheap for the class of device it is.

I use a Kinesis Freestyle 2 at work and it's helped quite a bit for reducing RSI pains.

The Kinesis Advantage does not use membrane switches. It comes standard with Cherry MX Browns.

I had absolutely ZERO interest in watching a keyboard review today. I just had this thought cross my mind: "How is Barnacules doing these days?" as I was browsing Newegg to see Boxing Day specials... I clicked on of those videos that is not so much a VLOG but more like your traditional content and landed this review.... I WANT THIS KEYBOARD! I didn't even know it existed but man... If we have Smart Speakers, Smart Watches, Smart this Smart that, this is about as close as we get to a Smart Keyboard. Freaking impressive and such a thorough review (as expected from you).

Barnacles, I'm old enough to be your grandmother (64), and I LOVE your videos! I even watched every single minute of your oh-so-long video about your Microsoft employment history, and loved it. I have a home-based transcription and editing business, and I love gaming keyboards. I've been waiting ... and waiting ... and waiting for a good ergonomic model to come out, and I check Google all the time, hoping that my dream comes true. I was excited to see not only do we have a good option now, but we get the extra perk of a review from you. If I could give you 100 likes for this video alone, I would!

OH, and another thing. I'm not even a gamer! Never have been, never will be. They do nothing for me. But I am a techie type (MIS director at a biggie law firm in my former corporate life), so I do have a thing for GeekSpeak, and you are among the best. I use my pc while laying down in my bed for sciatica reasons. The biggest problem was having the keyboart on my stomach and touch typing - not comfortable. A split keyboard allows me to have each half of the keyboard on one side of my body. That way my arms rest naturally on the side while touch typing. I have a different brand than is presented in this video, but I just wanted to point out the main advantage of split keyboards - working while laying down

I say comfort and common-sense design is well worth a learning curve. I got my Keyboardio Model01 a week ago and couldn’t be happier. It’s unconventional, but everything it does makes so much sense it should *be* the convention.
