The implications of Pareto to Social Economics is huge - why is no one else talking about this.

I've been watching Jordan for years. I love the way he always tells it as it is with no filter. The truth is what most of us want and Jordan never disappoints.

I was just watching the news, and once I Saw the headline, I couldn't help but laugh and think about this lecture.
"Pew Research study: Only 10% of Twitter users responsible for 80% of all Tweets."
There is no escape!

I agree. I studied psychology but came across this principle AFTER my studies. Incredible that it’s not taught in psychology because it’s soo useful in daily life, in so many areas of it.
Most useful mental model for me.

I'm no socialist/communist but I am interested in coming up with a way to make this work legitimately so when I talk to someone who insists on taking away the fruits of an individuals' labor and NOT reproducing the behaviors and methods of the productive then I have more legitimacy in calling that person an evil lazy psycho with a god-complex

This is the video that randomly popped up in my feed many years ago and introduced me to Dr. Peterson who is one of the most intelligent speakers Ive ever come across. Comparable to the likes of Malcolm X, Eckhardt Tolle types. Thankful for whatever reason it appeared, thanks for sharing!

The Pareto Principle is also why 20% of the population takes the initiative to rebel against the lazy 20% who are privileged because of inherited wealth and opportunities to reset the balance. And so it goes with cycles of calm punctuated with periods of rebellion. The Pareto Principle explains both productivity/initiative and privilege.
