Getting lost on that sucker is a rite of passage.

Honestly, once that thing gets a rework, it has the potential to be an amazing ship.Especially if they add a broader variety of aft modules, like cargo or drop pots instead of fuel only. A truly modular transport!

Right now there is little difference between the standard STARFARER and the GEMINI, but they are supposed to be internally different. The GEMINI is a MISC STARFARER that has been sent to AEGIS DYNAMICS to be heavily modified and repurposed for military use. It would be cool if AEGIS replaced the front MISC cockpit section that protrudes from the main body with a heavily armoured and obvious AGIS design language cockpit section.

I really love this ship. I was lost inside few times. She was the big ship I visited at the beginning of my journey in SC. Is also a good fps map.

It has already been said starfarer gemini can still scoop fuel, those are the little vents on the front of the "shoulders" but the base starfarer nose scoop allows for faster hydrogen gathering.

Still, the missiles are a component so you can swap between the scoop and missiles, so you can keep the armor and guns of the gemini.

Ship rebalance mentioned in september has yet to be applied so still sitting at 1 shield.

If they do a redesign i hope they give you the option to keep the labrynth to confuse and would be borders

I love my Starfarers (I have both).

This is the one ship that two people can defend from boarders. The boarders WILL get your cargo, but they won't survive if they try to take your ship due to the excellent choke points built into the deck layout. With three or four crew, the boarders won't get your cargo.

You said the ship has 2 size 2 turrets. It has three turrets, two downward facing in the back, to keep an eye on anyone wanting to dine & dash, then there's the big turret on the dorsal. I agree, distortion scatter guns are the way to go for any cargo ship.

Unless they are just out to destroy ships, I don't think the ship exploding is a concern. Most anyone who will be attacking you, is looking to get free fuel. They won't risk it going up in a giant ball of fire.

I've been using my Starfarer for cargo missions on my YouTube Channel. It's big enough that for now, I don't have to worry about making a second trip for any mission, but small enough to feel maneuverable.

I expect with the rework, the forward ventral docking hatch, which is completely useless, will be turned into a mining turret (probably size 3 mining lasers), connected directly to the refiner in the ship. THAT would give back all the usability they originally sold the ship with.

The fuel pods are supposed to be removable, so that you can carry even more cargo, or possibly food grade liquids, if you wish. Modularity will do wonders for this ship.

The interior is due for redesign cause it's designed by a team that specialized in FPS levels. Which they were ass at apparently given the various one way routes, and camping spots. 😂

It looks like a prime target for some strong modularity with those back pods. If that happens, or if providing fuel to other players becomes more valuable, I could see this being a fun ship to own.

Last time I tried, Starfarer was not able to refuel itself (fill up its own internal fuel tanks from the pods). It's ridiculous to run out of fuel flying a fuel tanker.

Keep'em coming.
These make every conversation about a ship far far easier.

I've got a Gemini CCU saved, as well. I didn't know the missile pod was swappable, now!

I really hope they add relevant gameplay for this ship soon

I never understood why CIG did not add fuel delivery to space station on patch 3.24 at least the ship would have a purpose in cargo update

y'all need to sub to this channel, this guy is awesome.
Starfarer needs a rework so badly.
-My biggest issue with the interior design is the damned ladders on the catwalk to the bridge, you get anywhere near that thing (which you have to, to get around it to get to the bridge) it kidnaps you wasting time to climb back down and hope you end up on the side you wanted to be on.

I think that these should have some kind of sub fighter, or a small platform for a sub or possibly light fighter for protection. Actually, any large slow transport or industrial ship should have some way for an escort fighter to dock for long runs.
