Imagine going to journalism school for 3-5 years and just end up writing articles about 2 people ordering the same dish at a restaurant

I dunno...I've been seeing these US Presidents do anything from playing Minecraft to going to Medieval Fairs these past few weeks.

An elderly couple eats the same meal at a restaurant.

Public Media: "SCANDAL!?"

I can't believe anyone wrote a news story about Joe and Jill ordering the same pasta... must have been the slowest news day in history

"who orders the same dish at a restuarant?"

I can tell this writer has never served 2 old people in a restaurant before

the staffers who curate what news the president sees at breakfast have an enormous amount of influence

17:48 - Not to be "that" guy but the KC-135 Stratotanker is an aerial refueler rather than a reconnaissance aircraft.

Yet another densely-packed, highly informative video! Great job!

Hey Sam, isn't it finally time to talk about the logistics of missing luggage? Its airline related anyway

A Week in the Life of a US President in Hollywood:
- Monday - Wednesday: fight terrorists
- Thursday - Friday: defend earth from Aliens
- Saturday: reconnect with your former wife, who’s now a successful anti-discrimination anti-poverty lawyer
- Sunday: defend Air Force One

Wow, really liked this video though man! Can’t even put my finger on why but obviously the subject matter overall was fascinating. I didn’t know how detailed the “presidential diary” notes were and that even though you said most aren’t released to the public after the ford admin., the notes on stuff like bush and of course Biden’s daily info is pretty cool. Would like to learn more about this stuff. Logistics but in a president-specific context, neat! Thanks.

I'd honestly rather live in a world where the only controversies are 2 married people eating the same food

Point of clarification, presidential records are never accessible via the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). They are instead accessible via the Presidential Records Act (PRA). Congress and the Supreme Court private documents are never made public because when you write/interpret the laws you get to decide which ones apply to you.

Saying they haven't declassified a PDB since 1977 is a bit misleading, they declassified one from August 6th, 2001 too. That one titled "Bin Ladin Determined To Strike in US" almost a month to the day before 9/11. This PDB was released through the 9/11 Commission and was the first PDB declassified by the president who it was prepared for, most of the time they are declassified by several presidents later.

Must be weird to have your life so curated

I love that the incredibly complex logistics of all this are held up by competent, regular people just doing their jobs. It's kind of beautiful.
