👉Choose the right undertone. Be sure to look at swatches of the color and consider the current tones in your hair. The biggest thing to remember especially when going darker is if there is no warmth in your hair, you have to add it back in there. If not, the fade out will be unpleasant…. 👉Use a clarifying shampoo before coloring to remove buildup, followed by conditioner to balance out porosity so the color takes as evenly as possible

👉Dilute with a regular conditioner to customize the level of deposit for a lighter wash of color

👉Apply in sections to detangled, towel-dried hair for an even application

👉Rinse WELL

👉Follow with a regular conditioner/leave-in conditioner after to seal

👉Use as often as needed

I lnow this video is older, so I hope you will answer. I used the get blonde highlights but my roots run brassy. No matter how much we tone. Now we do a bayalage with an ash on top. My hair is naturally very dark. But I've been lightening for a good 8 years. My ends are pretty blonde, not platinum but pretty light. I would stay dark but the light covers my grays. I don't have alot of grays, but I am almost 53. My husband has stage IV pancreatic cancer so it is hard to spend so long away at the salon and I am trying to cut costs. I wanted to try something different, but not permanent. Do you think I could do caramel? My hairdresser always told me bleach sticks better to dirty hair. Not product dirty but she tells me to not wash the day of my appointment. I just go in with no product in a loose bun. I love my hairdresser. She's like family but she did suggest a Keratin treatment because my hair is so frizzy. Made me nervous and I said I don't want to lose my curls. She said I wouldn't but she doesn't specialize in curly hair. My hair is more wavy, probably 2 b and c. I had ringlets when I was little but I straightened for years. So she cuts my hair to be worn straight or cutly. I can get my hair pretty curly, especially when I brush handle style. It's actually easier for me to do a curly style because it lasts longer, but it is SO frizzy. I once had a young girl tell me "you have black persons hair". Didn't want to ask her what that meant. I use hair masks, I've used olaplex, I use K18 and I regulary detox. I use coconut oil before I shampoo. I use a satin pillowcase and a bonnet. I don't put product on the roots and they are the frizziest. I always use a good leave in, I use Ouidad, Verb, Amika or Curlsmith products. I have to be doing something wrong. So any advice on that and if a Carmel depositing mask would be ok. If not what warm tone would? Depression is kicking in, knowing I will lose the love of my life. I thought a temporary change may cheer me up. And thank you for all you have taught me. If it weren't for you, I would of never tried curly hair again. One last thing, I am sorry this is so much. I have the itchiest scalp. It's not dry or oily. Even after I wash it, it's itchy. My hairdresser said I have one of the cleanest scalps she's seen. Why must I deal with all this monstrosity 😪

okay so, I had the under part of my hair dyed purple, and I had to bleach it because I have dark hair. So once the color faded I went to the hair salon to dye it back brown, and it turned green. Still haven’t redyed it tho and it’s been fading.
