Never stepped on it always used my finger to press down so I could eye the snap better

You can literally see the line roll slightly forward as he steps on it. Use your finger not your foot that way You can the if the line moves.

As a flooring installer, this helps a lot on the big hallways and stuff. Just need a helper now instead of a bucket to hold the other end of the chalk line 😂🤙❤️

I agree it’s all about pulling the strings super tight. No need to step on it in the middle.

Use a finger to hold middle. Less chance of it moving when bending down to snap

Pull it tight as you can and snap it. If you have a long run and/or an uneven floor pull it tight and use your finger to push it straight down. The bottom of a shoe or boot is very irregular and will not be accurate. JMO

Two points determine a straight line, 3 points.Determine two straight lines. And as far as the line being pulled too tight for your whittle fingers. If you would have wrapped it around your finger correctly and pinched it tightly with your thumb, it wouldn't have tightened up on you Buttercup.
