During the procedure, Dr. Tehrany carefully placed the needle arthroscope into the right glenohumeral joint. The arthroscope provided excellent visualization of the glenohumeral joint. As he and his PA Tim Lopresty performed the needle arthroscopy, they found a tear of the superior labrum with a type II SLAP lesion. This most common SLAP tear occurs when the superior labrum completely disconnects from the glenoid. As a result of the disconnection, the patient experienced annoying shoulder popping.
