I’ve bought 3 BMW bikes over last 30 years. Super reliable. Coast to coast in Canada a few times without any issues. I’ve toured a HD plant and was amazed how backwards their assembly line was. But they had nice paint.

When I worked at a Soviet factory every assembly worker had hammer and file to make parts fit each other if they don't :)

Allow me to explain what is happening at 16:24. This is the station at which the valvetrain for a 2-cylinder engine is assembled. A worker fits a cam assembly and a head with valves in two fixtures. At this point the valves have no shims. The machine assembles the valvetrain and analyses its movement to determine the correct valve lash. Then the worker disassembles the valvetrain and installs the shims as directed to set the correct valve lash.
