The trick to getting games to the table is finding games you and your family enjoy. 💚

You 100% should watch Kikik's delivery service Michelle! It is the most lovely and charming movie. Just fills me with joy and warmth and also is so aesthetically pleasing...
also in agreement with your thoughts on both Jaipur and Five Tribes!

We have Jaipur, but my husband doesn't really like it. Played it a lot for awhile, but it has been sitting in the closet for quite awhile. Thinking about selling it.

I have all of these games and love them. I need to try Five Tribes solo still.

I agree it’s okay to buy a game and only play it once or twice - it feels the same as going on a date or to a movie to me also.

I picked up Jaipur when I was visiting family and it was one of the few options at a small store in their small town. My brother and I played it a lot over the week I was there. After some plays we both evolved to the same strategy and I felt it began to come down to the luck of the card draws. I got rid of it after that week, it felt samey to me. So no I would not have bought it knowing what I know. Five Tribes I think has much more potential, but I would never play it at 4, only at one or two.

Thanks Lobby of Hobbies for recommending the channel! 💚 Great video concept, it’s an interesting way to take a look at some of the games we’ve had for awhile

If you play a game a few times, and pass it on yes. Ideally it is a great game and it gets lots if play. I buy games just to paint thmlem if the price point is correct. If a game gets a few plays it was worth it to me. 💚 Jazz sends his love.

Love this series. I had no idea Five Tribes could be played solo; that's interesting.

As for only playing once or twice? If those plays were enjoyable then it's worth it, but I may make an exception for less enjoyable games sticking around if the art is exceptional, supply is low, or some type of nostalgia is there.

I am with Billie on this one. We have culled this game (Five Tribes), but we had high hopes. Based on the cover and look of the game as well as how many reviewers like it, I would buy this game now. And I would be disappointed and not play it.

I bought Jaipur on the frequent recommendation of other content creators & we really enjoy it. We haven't played Five Tribes in awhile, but we played a lot a couple years ago. I think we should get that back to the table again. I traded for Scoville, but still haven't played it. Great video 💚

I have played and loved all of these. Pretty much all of them I still play regularly 💚

💚 LOH brought me here. I like that your background does not have kallax full of boardgames. Almost like most people's home..lol. Great video and I'm happy to see a family effort in making your videos.

I'm here from Lobby Hobbies suggesting your channel! 💚 Love the idea behind your segments and the name of you channel. I didn't realize Five Tribes could be played solo!

Jaipur and Scoville caught my attention, definitely looking forward to play those! I feel like I have to try them first before adding them to my collection. Thanks for the recommendations! 💚

I've tried Jaipur on BGA and didn't care for the gameplay. I've never been drawn to the game due to the reasons you weren't interested in it. Like you, I gave it a try since so many people recommended it. Sadly, not a game for me. Glad you enjoy it so much!

We backed Scoville on KS. Those pepper meeples are awesome! The gameplay is quite an engaging puzzle. Sadly, we didn't quite realize how visually intensive it would be for Will, so we sold it years ago. He just couldn't keep track of what was where in his head. So this is one we wouldn't have gotten if we had known how poor of a choice it'd be for us.

Five Tribes is one I'd like to play someday, but I have a feeling that I'd have way too much AP. We never bought it due to how visually intensive it'd be for Will.

I also agree that it's fine to own a game that you're only going to play a few times, but everyone curates their collection for different reasons. We have a few games we've kept due to sentimental and nostalgic reasons, knowing we probably won't ever play them again. But we're collectors so we have a lot of things in our house that we don't play/watch/read but we keep because we want it in our collection. We get joy just from seeing it. :-D

I have to check out Jaipur based on the multiple content creator recommendations - as far as buying a game knowing it may only be played a couple of times, love your take on it and comparing it to going to the movies, been struggling recently about the expense of board games, but when you think of it like that we get continued enjoyment out of them and can cull when we are through 💚 love your content - will be waiting on the shelf game video ;)

Great video! I have Jaipur and enjoy it when I want to play a light game or introduce others to the hobby. I need to try Botanick! I have not played Scoville, but have always wanted it. I love peppers🌶! But I have resisted buying because of mixed reviews. Plus auction not my favorite mechanic. Five Tribes is great. I have the base game but no expansions. Solo is fun too! And Billie, “I love my shelf games” 😁😁 ❤️That’s is the first stage of becoming a board game collector and not just a player. 😁I love my shelf games too!! I tend to buy most games I want to try. Probably not smart, because the collection keeps growing! So have ya’ll have ever culled a game and then later bought it back?! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I have which is why it’s so hard for me to cull! Love the outro! I am always fixing my box tops and laughed when you had to fix the instructions too! That is so me! Love the video! You and Billie are great!
