Bro these people gotta stop complaining about this. It’s an advanced groove. He gave us the sheet music as well as the steps. If you can’t do an advanced groove, maybe watch an intermediate or beginner groove instead.

Step one: draw a circle
Step two: put some triangles for ears
Step three: draw the entire rest of the Pikachu and apply shading
Step four: re-outline it for better contrast

This is super helpful, please could you consider doing more of these breakdowns? It's a little intimidating compared to when somebody plays something slower and then faster.

A lot of other drum channels seem to go that way. Play 90 notes "slowly" which are impossible to remember and then speed it up.

Seeing how the groove is constructed and layered from the ground up is far more helpful — well, for my style of learning at least.

Thanks again and I hope you do more of these. Even if it's possible to do something similar for a fill. Get the basic "groove" of the fill with kicks/snare and then adding from there.
