I have often visited Thailand, and I advise you to enjoy Thailand and its beautiful and charming women.
I am not writing here about the good, faithful Thai women who are the great majority in Thailand.
I am dealing only when it comes to "sex workers, bar girls, freelancers, and many others."
....Warning; don't let them "break into your heart, " because you will regret it emotionally and financially 
when you find out she has been working you just like all the other guys for their Money. 
That is the key: money....They love the money you give them, not you!... get that into your brain!
Once you understand that with sex workers in Thailand,  you can enjoy them and laugh at their heart-mind games.

Good stuff Man, nice coverage of Bangkok! I worked in Bangkok back in 1998 for over a year and the place sure has changed. My hangout back then was Soi Cowboy, specifically the OLD Cowboy bar where I was a fixture. I have to say it was the best time of my life. I see that Soi Cowboy has changed a big bunch as well as everything else. The old Cowboy bar was on the end of the street and was a dark closed up place like most others were, but they had a house band (Cowboy Band) that played all night long. Could not get enough. I am heading back to spend a few days (nights) reminiscing, but I am sure things are very different. They did not have freelancers back then for sure and you had to pay the bar to take out one of their girls. Lady Boys had specific hangouts and did not hangout at the Cowboy bar. The bar sort of owned the girls who actually lived there on the second floor. If you took one out, she had to be returned by 3 AM or you were stuck with her until sunup. Usually not a problem back then, however.
