In some jurisdictions, the trier of fact can sentence defendants to 7 days in county jail for simple assault and battery cases. I wonder if sentences, such as that, fall into the stage three category.

So i was one of 2 middle cars in a 4 car bumper to bumper accident. No injuries . Me and the 2 cars behind me all got citations. I then later received a letter for an arraignment appointment. The Case numbers on the citation and the arraignment letter do not match. The letter was extremely vague just saying: "show up, or else..." I can only assume it has to do with the accident. Any information or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Blessings, sir. A landlord had his police friends falsely arrested me and physically abused me by choking me with a sit belt, put a bag over my head until I fainted & dragged me. I ended up in the hospital with a blood pressure of 210. They then falsified medical report and said that I was drunk when I was never interviewed, never evaluated & no exam was performed on me. What saved me is the fact that I went to a different hospital right away and they document that I was abused, " TRAUMA." I had an attorney, but he was trying to have me sign Medical Authorization form to get that false report... And he told me to sign a Stipulations of Probable Cause, & he wants me to plea guilty to municipal ordinance because I vomited & urinated when the police abused me. Because I didn't want to sign he relieved as counsel. Can you help me to represent myself, please ? I'm willing to pay for your advice. Oh, did I mention how the police had a complete video DO- OVER to convict me & they ask me to waive all my rights to sue them or file against them ? Yes. Help me, please.

Sum courts already hav ur charges well n the state of virginia with the level of misdeameanor or felony...i got charged but did not get arrested i had an arraingment to go to court and because i was threatened with a charge get n filed angainst me ovr a manager that personally had my number n called me one nite ovr sum he said she said shi...i was respectful n whn was told to leave i left...but that morning after that incident on saturday she called my fone bother n me about a coworker...so i told her to get off my line...n thas whn she threatened to call the police n sunday i got officers @ my door for a charge cuz of the statute of limitations...

Not true the prosecutor can add additional charges to make the penalty more.
