Tbh, I was thinking maybe you could probably fit a battery in the saya (sheath), a conductor thru the hilt. If it was a san-mei (Three-bladed), it would've thick enough to possibly place a lightning rod to give it direction while you swing. Wild speculation, but at least it'd be more optimal
