Hey, first time poster here...love the vids.

I think throughout the whole team, the 'first touch' is actually quite poor. It's why we pass the ball so slow at times...like it has to touch every player in the backline before he ball reaches the other side of the pitch. Nearly all the players need that first touch, then a set up touch or two, then the pass. Seems way too slow and easy to defend against. Teams like City pass faster and catch teams overloading their defense on one side and are able to capitalize on the spaces they create through quick precise passing/crossing. When we do eventually pass it through the team faster, it works for us....dont know why we move the ball so slow sometimes, it's very frustrating, as someone that played for 15 years straight...not at that level but... Sorry for the rant.

I think Lenglet settled in really well and having seen Bastoni play a few times this season I rather sign Lenglet permanently or at least extend his loan.

Of the players in that position at the back, Lenglet is the most intelligent and assured player. He doesn't panic on the ball (unlike Ben Davies), or play loose balls out from the back, and is the sort of quality player that Spurs really need to keep.

If we’re building a squad like we say I’d be more than happy with him as squad depth. Conte has said we need a few players at each position

Afternoon Sean regarding Dier Wednesday night I have a feeling that the start he made seemingly not in the right frame of mind maybe due to the tribute paid to Gian Piero Ventrone I noticed Dier watching the photos being shown on the big screens and one was of him and GPV maybe not the best way to start a big game even though it was important to show our respects at our home ground for him I noticed Conte would not look up while the photo reel was being played ? just a thought as Dier has been very good up to now as for Lenglet up to now I think he`s been very good on the ball odd time he`s been out of position for defending leaving Sess a bit exposed but for a small fee could keep him for a back up for a big signing ie Bastoni put Davies on the coaching team with the Kids

Do other people find it weird you are walking with a camera in front of you along a trail talking to yourself? 😂

Watching back through some old videos and found this one interesting. I’d definitely look to sign Lenglet and have him as part of a bolstered defensive group in the summer

As a Welsh Spurs fan who was mightily impressed by your statistical evaluation of CL, I welcomed his arrival at the club. I noted at the time your comments regarding his fall from favour at Barcelona. To date I haven't seen a statement from the Club about CL, but neither have I seen anyone from the Club concerned about the confidence of a solid, repeatedly competent 8-year servant like Ben. I hope CL stays and is successful, but as 50+ year veteran I fear have outdated views about loyalty - and a cynical one about stats.

Great chat as always. Do we know if the player wants to stay? Maybe that's the reason we won't be making it permanent

We need top quality central and left side defender a right back plus a creative midfielder.Lenglet is just a stop gap signing

Hi Sean, have to agree on your comments on Lenglet, and more so on essential upgrades needed elsewhere.such as a RWB and CAM. I think Lenglet is an improvement on Davies and his performances have shown that, but I can’t believe that the club may have already made a decision about him after 2 mths and would be astounded if he’s already been told… his confidence must be ‘through the floor’ if that’s the case. A bit concerned about the individual mistakes that have occurred recently and the fact we have yet to really play well, but football is a results business and we’re up there. I also agree LCB is sorted this season, but our window of opportunity to ever get Bastoni or Gvardiol has gone…and a Dier upgrade is more of a priority, and it was a pity that Bremmer wanted to remain in Italy to get citizenship because he was the ideal player for us.
Enjoy these country walk blogs ..where are you?

Could be a Conte Jedi Mind Trick as that is the latest narrative to come from some Spurs fans after he stormed off at the end of the Frankfurt match lmfao. However, it may be the player wanting to stay at Barca & having his heart set on getting his place back. I think it may motivate him either way because if he is not in Spurs or Barca's plans he will need to attract a new suitor.

Clement has played well, I feel confident when he plays. Dier does have a bad pass approx every 10 passes - I’m always nervous when he has ball under pressure - can we see a bit more of your dog whilst you’re talking!

Davies is well suited for Conte's football. When Spurs have less than 50% possession in many games, players need to have qualities bravery and determination, not technique or flair.

Its dier, s possitional play is terrible

Clearly he is better than Davies as he has featured more than Ben. Hope we give every opportunity to be a squad member at least.

Good afternoon sir,
Based on the very little I’ve seen of Lenglet, I would say that we have other much more important players to think about replacing. So yes, exactly as you say.

⚽😃 No doubt a Levy leak ... For a better price for Lenglet in January maybe or get Inter to do business on their abundance of talent.
