When should you backwash your pool filter? Only when needed and your pressure gauge will tell you the best time. Once you know your normal operating PSI then make note and when you see a 5 PSI increase its time to backwash your filter.

Hey, I wanted to say thank you because I tried this and it cleared whatever clogs were there and now my pool is working better than it has in a long time the Jets are coming out full throttle in the pool and in the hot tub and everything’s working in the way it supposed to again so thank you. This was so easy to do. I’m completely new to pools so I didn’t even know the water would come out of that hose but we let it come out until the water was clear even less than a minute and then again on rinse and then everything worked again perfectly.

what if you don't have rinse as an option? Is filter waste or recirculate the alternative?

My pressure is less than 10, is somthing wrong? When i vaccume the pressure that comes out of pool circulater gets alot slower? Anyone?

I forgot about backwashing....is this why theres sand in my pool? 😔
