Wuthering Heights - Love

This week's video from the Total Education Centre is focused on the theme of love in Wuthering Heights. Often seen as a contentious idea in the novel Bruce Pattinson looks at the different aspects apparent in the novel and comes to some conclusions.

wuthering heights is perhaps one of the few novels where love ruined not only the lovers involved in it but also the people around them. many of the characters lives were burnt to the ground all in the name of love and heartaches but at the same time the union of young cathy and young Heathcliff is as symbolic as a phoenix rising from its ashes
