The news wanted photos and more so he sat in these stores and he smiled, cause
he was best.

But then he remembered his father, he looked in the mirror, all the years had gone
by in a flash.

note on the desk.

Reminds me of a story my sister and I heard.
It was about a boy named Com. He lived with a single father(a security guard who works near the town library) and younger sister named Hei. After an accident, Com lost his voice entirely and he feels down because his biggest gift was his voice which he sang in. One day, he met a stranger who gave him a contract: he would get surgery which will give him a voice and a job as a singer. Com didn’t read the whole contract and signed it.
Of course, Com became a famous singer, and grew up. Before he knew it, 10 years had passed. One day, taking a walk, he wandered to his childhood home. It was occupied by the girl who co-rented the house with his family those years ago. She told him about a weird sheet of paper that she found in their basement.
Com looked at the paper. It was the contract. It wrote that, it will give Com a voice and fame, but at the cost of his father and sister. His sister was killed and an angry ghost living in a haunted house, while their father was horribly wounded and distorted. He gave his vocal cords to Com and was turned into a lab rat since. But he still thinks that he’ll go home to his kids.
Com looked at the paper once more, and fell down, collapsing.
And that was the end. It creeped my sister out.

It reminds me of a story I made:

The contract was simple enough. In exchange for becoming popular, the boy would have to give up his soul. It was a no-brainer for the boy, who had always been a bit of an outsider. He was tired of being the butt of everyone's jokes and longed for the attention that came with being popular.
So he signed the contract and became popular overnight. It was everything he'd dreamed of. He was invited to all the best parties, had people fawning over him, and was finally considered cool.
But then he saw his father. He was kidnapped and turned into a monster. The boy was devastated, but he didn't have time to grieve. He had to keep up the act of being popular. He put on a brave face and moved on, but he wasn't the same. The light had gone out of his eyes.
