Yes, sparingly. I remember when this stuff first came out, & teen boys were showering in it the way 80s women showered in hairspray.

I think that is the beauty of Axe it has that manly but not over powering smell.  Just a hint of goodness I have had several women rip their clothes off right in front of me after I applied Axe body spray.

If you like the smell of 3 day old dog shit, then by all means, buy some axe. I will stick to Nautica Voyage and Hummer cologne.
