My mother died in 2000.R.I.P. Mom. Putting us to bed she'd always sing Goodnight Irene..now I know where this came from. He's one of the really old bluesman. I love all of the old blues.Thank you sir.

If there was NO Leadbelly, there would be no Lonnie Donegan, and therefore NO Beatles! Leadbelly was the inspiration for Bob Dylan (Bob said this himself) and Kurt Kobain said Leadbelly was his Favorite Artist!
