On the feast of St. Joseph the Worker, May 1, 2021, the Vatican added 7 new invocations (titles) to the Litany of St. Joseph, with the approval of Pope Francis✴ —during the Year of Saint Joseph declared from December 8, 2020 to December 8, 2021— in commemoration of the 150 years of the proclamation of St. Joseph as Patron of the Universal Church by Pope Pius IX on December 8, 1870.

December 8 is also the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the reason why we celebrate Mother's Day in Panama.
