Ce qui était produit en 1997 à l'âge de 17 ans est indiscutablement au-dessus de ce qu'on entend aujourd'hui. J'adore cette maîtrise, ce sérieux, cette concentration, cette dévotion à l'interprétation surnaturelle de cette oeuvre et l'émotion qui s'en dégage grâce à une technique parfaitement sous contrôle.
C'est prodigieux et y a t'il tellement de musiciens capables de se dépasser au-delà du réel ? Chaque note est un petit bijou. Ce n'est pas la musique actuelle qui peut nous émouvoir à ce point.
Hélas ! Quel dommage de s'égarer dans le commun, le terre à terre, le populaire, quand on a un sensibilité tellement exacerbée.

Been watching this same Mendelssohn concerto for the past six years. Garrett is by far the best and the only version of the concerto I listen to🥹

Un très grand bravo et toute mon admiration pour ce très talentueux jeune violoniste de 17 ans. Jouer du violon avec tellement de maîtrise à cet âge relève d'un don de Dieu et d'innombrables heures de travail acharné.

Wonderful concert for Sunday noon! I have listened it, a few times, and I like David (at approx 17 years) interpretation, and it is not so easy to play Mendelson- hard eork is required, talent, passion..
