Southern California makes extensive use of TEC routes on IFR flights. Here's a mock flight in the area using one of them. Part 2 of the flight will be out next week!

Doing my instrument training at KCRQ, this is spot on. We have amazingly talented and friendly controllers down here.

Amazing, So nice to see a route I know well! Some other tips: Clicking on the TEC route name in the FPL view of Foreflight will allow you to expand the route to all of its component parts. This is helpful because it is often what Ground/Clearance Delivery will ask for in the readback, or some alteration of it. We like to copy the route components to the scratchpad and then follow along as we get the clearance, just crossing out or adding any edits...EZ readback!

Good stuff. I'll try it on the sim tonight if I have time.

When running through your call to Clearance, you said you had Information Tango. Clearance would likely want you to confirm you have Information India. ;)
