Got a lot of requests to dyno the new line from NVX. Normally I dont dyno amps that have already been strapped up, but seeing as Sonic Electronix just did a dynamic test.... it got people wondering if they had something to hide.... I don't think that's the case but let's find out!

Buy your own NVX VAD 17001

Good to see you back Ryan. 👍
IMO, these amps are a step back from the previous JAD series.
Thanks for the review and dyno.

Good to see you back. We miss the videos because you offer more advice and knowledge than most. Good to see nvx staying honest with their ratings.

Great review as always. Really appreciate that you take the time to do these videos for us to see how these amps do

I have one of these feeding 1200 rms to a vcw 12 and it impresses me every day.

I love it when an amp is rated dead on like that :) Good job NVX rating guys! You actually bought a dyno lol XD

I'm happy you reviewed this Amp.. I was one click away from buying it Wednesday.. now I know it's solid.. but that fan might just make me hold off

I think the idea with 4 gauge power terminals is that you run smaller gauge from front battery to trunk of car, then fuse that wire in the trunk at a distribution block and run a short 4 gauge from the fuse to the amp. That short run of 4 gauge can handle the current. Completely agree the 4 gauge outputs are overkill.

I'm a fan of NVX. I've been waiting to see better dyno video. Great work. Thanks for the video. End caps sounded like metal. Better built than it looked. I hate the power inputs and outputs.

First off I want to say your channel amp evals and testing are the best on YT. DIYers rely on your testing for investing in quality audio. You're our holy grail source for picking the right amps.
I can tell you from experience. A "marine amp needs all components to be coated or sealed. The POTs, inputs, and switches will corrode and die after a short period of exposure like one or two seasons of saltwater boating.

Nice job again, like always. You are keeping it real and letting us the consumers know what’s up.

keep up the good work ryan. some of us dont trust the manufacturers dyno test because they can max out all the settings and give us false info. a 3rd party test is always best

6:20 This. This is what makes it okay if you have 1/0 running to your battery in the back. use 4ga from your amp just have the amp close to the battery

Yep, distribution blocks or reducers. Thanks for always mentioning the terminal size though, it's not always specified online or even in the manual!

The 4 gauge thing I don't think is that big of a deal. I'd be running 1/0 from the battery to a distribution fuse block right next to the amps.

That amp is maintained! I'm in between NVX and SKAR

Run the 0 gauge to a distribution block, a short run of 4 from the block to the amp is fine
