ARE YOU SURE YOU'RE ALRIGHT?

Goodbye Gemini, from San Jose, with the great song BADLANDS.
This is an original song written by Mike Voss, the singer of the band and a local music legend, from their demo from late 1988 (or from 1989, I can't remember), a good while before they put out their 12" E.P. (which the cover art is taken from here).

This was Mike's band after The Stiffs, which came after Los Olvidados (who are about to play their last show ever this Saturday). The title of the band was a tribute to the late friend of Mike's - and many others - Scott Vollmer, the incredible guitarist of The Stiffs, who also played with The Soul Senders, Twistin' Jacks and The Legendary Stardust Cowboy, whose life was tragically cut down by his murder early in 1988.

Excellent song, great lyrics.
"I've seen a lot of roofs that could be caving in/I've seen a lot of people fade to black/they've taken all the wrong roads to dead ends" "Are you sure you're alright?"

Enjoy.
