Delhi to get first sports complex under a flyover, but encroachers ask what about them

Delhi will soon complete its first sports complex to be built under a city flyover as the government tries to find innovative ways to free open spaces from encroachment. PWD Executive Engineer Vinay Sheel Saxena said these projects intend to save land “eaten away” by slum dwellers. With construction underway, inhabitants of the area have been asked to leave.

I dont think so poor people are the culprit, accd to a source lakhs of people migrate to cities every month for job, healthcare and for a better lifestyle, but due to high cost of living, they resort to take shelter under these public infrastructure.
And whats the purpose of building a sports complex under a flyover means who will be able to indulge in sports activities in such envt and at last it would be used by homeless people only.

I think a better solution would have been planting some sort of a small garden so that homeless would also get a better place to stay.
