Missy is a single mother of a 7- year-old girl. In her house, the daughter is a neat freak and Missy the messy one. Missy is having a discipline problem with her daughter, she yells at Missy all the time to clean her room and put her stuff away. She’s very rude when she says it – almost like she’s the parent.

To be fair, she's not setting a very good example for her daughter in the first place. The daughter shouldn't be acting the way she is, but at the same time the mother should be acting more responsible. How do you expect your child to treat you with respect when you're not acting in ways that deserve that respect? And that mother might want to look into the fact that her daughter might have severe OCD. Might explain why she gets so upset.

LOL...I didnt want to be dead! When my sisters and I were very young and got too rambunctious, my mother would say through clenched teeth, "GO TO GODAMN BED!" That always made me cry.

I remember when I was about 6 or 7 I was opening and slamming my door because I was told to go to my room. Mom came to talked to me and I threw a book at her. She left and I continued to open and slam the door. Then dad came to talk to me with the palm of his hand. I stopped, sat on the bed and shut up. In other words, it worked.
