Mate 10 with the 4000ma battery and dual sim easily makes it more appealing for more busy users imo.

The price is definitely an issue here, if the mate 10 was around 650-700$ it could be much more appealing for people. I will stick with more affordable options like the oneplus 5/5t

All these Samsung fanboys getting so defensive about their precious little Sammies 🙄 I've used Huawei for the past 2 years and not once have I had an issue. I use the Mate 10 Pro and it's an absolute beast. Not the biggest fan of emui but I use nova launcher and it still runs like a champ. Don't get me wrong, Note 8 is a great phone but I've got some incredible photos from all the Huawei leica based cameras over the past couple years. Love it. But all you Samsung fanboys? Just chill a bit. It's not like it's an iPhone 😜😂

Definitely the Mate 10 Pro for me. Where I live you can get one for €533 on a 1 year contract with unlimited data and voice calls (€32/month).

Mate 10 Pro won my cash as my carrier just couldn't match the Samsung to its price so I'm getting a far cheaper deal on the Huawei over what I could get the Samsung for (£120 a year less) and with a far better data package as well. I'm an ex-Note user and whilst the S-pen was great, I found less and less practical day-to-day use for it as I went on finding more and more short cuts via Android to do the functions I wanted to do. One thing I have found with the Mate 10 Pro is that over the past few weeks its gotten .. FASTER ... I can only assume its that Ai chip kicking in as regular Apps open faster than they did when I first got the phone. The much larger default storage (128Gb) is also a winner over the Samsung and I can't envisage ever requiring more. So far the only major issue I have with the Mate 10 Pro is....its slippery...VERY slippery! That "glass" back (not convinced its actually glass to be honest) is so slippery I've been using the included, nasty plastic cover with it (btw the Mate ships with an excellent and pre-fitted screen protector which I can't fault). I'm waiting on a custom skin of course but... Dbrand...they're not making one! Apparently there won't be enough customers for one. Oh well. On top, and not mentioned in the review, is Desktop Mode. No costly Dock required for the Mate....no, just an HDMI cable and your good to go. So far, its been an exciting experience using it as a desktop PC! App support is limited but using Google Docs for example is fine and its a very helpful feature. Lastly, I have to say, that if I had bought the Note 8, I'd be happy but I can't see me coming to terms with the placement of the finger print sensor....really...its horrible.

The Mate10pro and it's now even close ...coming from a previous note user too by the way! Gaming is big for me and with the mate 10 I can output my screen near page free via $7 HDMI cable and then connect my PS4 controller and go to town on some MFF!

My country is flooded by Huawei phones, and you can get a P10 or a Mate 10 for cheap. The Mate 10 Pro is slightly *more* expensive than importing a Note 8 though. So I just went with Samsung to save 50 Euros and to stand out a bit.

- looks better
- better display size unlike the elongated Note8 that only adds more bigger black borders
- beasty 2 day battery life
- faster charging
- better chipset
- better fp placement
- much cheaper (even more comparing with a 128gb note 8)
- dual speakers
- dual sim with dual 4g
- more reliable OS

I have the Huawei mate 9 best phone I ever owned will not hesitate to get the 10 with the artificial intelligence chip I love the Leica cameras excellent photography opportunities I do love the S Pen but if I had one or the other to choose from the Huawei mate 10 Pro gets my choice and gets my money
