Gridwork on Boy | GoPro

It was so nice to finally get back on board Boy! I’ve not ridden him in a lesson since last year…! He was super as usual and worked very nicely on the flat (once he had woken up a bit!) and really seemed to enjoy the jumping exercise - I think we both came away from this lesson feeling very positive and I certainly had a massive smile on my face throughout the whole lesson. I really do think a lot of this little horse :-)

Please ignore my drastic cutting of the corners and strange lines, the track and corners were flooded from heavy rain so I was trying to stay away from those areas as best I could, whilst also avoiding the other 5 horses in the arena!

QOTD: What has been your proudest moment on a horse (either proud of yourself, or the horse)?

Ponies/horses:
Boy - approx 15.1hh bay gelding

Helmet cam: GoPro Hero 6

One of my proudest moments actually came yesterday when I was riding. The horse I was on has always been very nervous when it comes to jumping as his old owner never jumped him, he would duck out of the smallest cross in trot when he first came to the riding school however we jumped a small spread from canter and (totally rider error) came in on a dodgey line and therefore a dodgey stride but he didn't even blink and jumped it perfectly so I was so proud of how far he's come in his confidence

When your whip matches the saddle pad that’s goals right there

The title should’ve been ‘gridwork on (good) boy’ 😂❤️

Love the video and Boy <3
QOTD: My proudest moment was when I was on a green horse, who had never been under saddle before. I was able to get to know her, and teach her. Her first trot, canter and jump were with me! I love her, but I had to say goodbye to her as she was bought by another girl. Love your videos xx

The outdoor school surface in this makes me want to cry a little bit 😂😭 Proudest moment is probably either Rodge jumping clear round the individual 80 hunter trial and coming 5th 2 years ago or his dressage test at NORC this year scoring 71% as I still can’t believe how much better it was than our first attempt 3 years ago and he was such a star this year and it made me so proud! x

My proudest moment was when I completed a jumping course after falling off in the middle of the year :)
I had a great pony looking after me when I did this course and I even did xcountry with this pony too :) very happy!

Thank you so much for making this video...it helps me a lot because last month my barn closed & I'm still depressed about it. I'm having no luck in finding a new barn & it looks like I'm gonna be forced to give up riding, which makes me absolutely miserable.
Thanks for making this. Videos like this make me really happy & even though they don't cure my sadness, they do help me.

Awesome vid, i missed watching boy
Qotd: My proudest moment is when i did this competition at my riding school and the pony i was on hated this one skinny jump and refused/ran out nearly all the time in practise, but in the actual thing he jumped it perfectly first time and we ended up winning, and i was so proud of him

2 of my proudest moments are 1.The horse I was riding hadn't jumped at all before and i got her over an over!not very big right enough but she jumped it like she had jumped 1000 times before!
2.I was on a horse that loves jumping but for some reason is scared of jumps! I managed to get her over a jump first time! Then the week after another(apparently more experienced)rider rode her and took about 5 tries to get her over the exact jump that I had got her over the week before!

Winning first on my 2nd show ever on a horse I've only ridden for 2 months. (Who is now injured and I go to the barn everyday to hang out and graze him) I love him

My proudest moment was probably when I had only been riding for 8 months (and bear in mind the stables I go to is seriously protective) and I was quite young and they put me on a beautiful 14.2 Arab mare who was very jumpy and the first pony I ever rode that wasn’t an old pony that needed lots of kicks to get going. I was in a group with a few others and some had been riding for a lot longer and all looked quite impressed when I rode in on her 😂

Love you and boy!

I love Boy 💓
QOTD-For me jumping 90cm again on the pony I fell off and broke my wrist on in four places.
For the horse probably getting her to go over a really ‘scary’ jump with some sheep next to it. She’s never refused it since x 💓💓
