HoBao Hyper VT First Run on 4S
Here's my first official run of the HoBao Hyper VT on 4S. This car is fast, but the handling is something that I think most people will need to tune to suit their needs and driving style. It just feels a bit too soft and the oil in the centre diff is a bit too thin which allows a lot of power to bleed to the front wheels. but like I said, depending your needs and driving style, tuning may be required.

hope you enjoyed the video and thank you for watching. :)

I'm not a on road guy but that thing looks fun. I bet it would do well on a dirt track with buggy tires on it. Vas great video as always.

A good onroad setup can be quite a challenge. (to me at least) I made a sort of setup guide for myself from all the info I found about, roll center, camber, caster, ackermann etc. But I still find it difficult to choose what to change. I used Fastrax Inter Tread tires, I liked them a lot. Great car!

Nice run! For 6S speeding you may want to try the 84mm inner diameter Sweep GT8 wheels with the 55 degree hard belted tyres to fit those hubs. I haven't yet found any others that fit. There is also a center spool available for the Hobao buggy based rigs that should fit the 330mm wheelbase with the optional rear dogbone.

This would be a good benchmark for trying different tyres to give viewers an idea on how much tyres can make a difference.🚘

If you want it to handle there are a few things you could do. Replace the center diff with a one way bearing that will allow you to tickle it on throttle around corners or at least lock it? Solid rear diff or none at all (completely locked). When you go for a new body try one a lot lower at the front (GT or Cam Am style like a 512 Ferrari} and even perhaps use a flat bumper like a 1/8" nitro circuit car. You will be pleasantly surprised at the additional down force. They act like a splitter on a V8 super car it makes a huge difference. If you have the body set correctly it wont blow off when you remove the body pins at the front any way.Set the rear and low as possible without it dragging at top speed.

Need some softer springs up front along with possibly thinner oil. Or a stiffen up the rear if you want to get it to kick out the rear end. Increasing front caster helps too. Onroad is fun cus setup changes are much more noticeable. Have fun vas looking forward to see this one again.
