The coast of Basque country and west coasts of Portugal and Spain has had some of the most gloooorious landscapes I've ever seen. High cliffs and lighthouses daring the Atlantic ocean.

Lets just 'say' I have links to the Basque country (went to school there etc) and they have some great meat and veg. stew dishes in the restaurants - perhaps Summer is not the ideal time for such stodgy meals but if you have the time and the money it's worth a shot.
