Opening Africa-China Trade Opportunities for African Exporters

Standard Bank Group recently participated in the third bi-annual #CAETE2023 (China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo) which took place in Changsha, China from 29 June to 2 July 2023.

At the event, we were proud to host over 60 clients from various countries across the African continent – creating a platform for them to showcase their products at our stand where they were assisted by our English-Mandarin-speaking team in overcoming language barriers to present their offerings, negotiate with buyers and conclude trade deals with Chinese importers.

We’re invested in unlocking trade opportunities such as these to help our clients expand their business operations and export footprints, while simultaneously boosting job creation and forex inflows into domestic African markets.

This is one of many such initiatives undertaken by our Africa-China Trade Solutions (ACTS) team.
