It's officially peony season in the northeast and this beautiful bud is from my own back yard. This oil painting demo from my weekly Wednesday morning Instagram live was fun from beginning to end!

I’m Kim Smith, I live in Lancaster, Pa and have had the love of art in my soul my entire life. I received my BFA in Communication Design from Kutztown University and have owned TCG Design for over 30 years. Even though it’s a creative business, something was always missing. After the last of my three children became a bit more independent, I really felt the need to pursue my love of painting. So I made a commitment to wake up before the sun to paint. The daily practice became a perfect fit for my busy life. I strive to delight and make the world more beautiful, one painting at a time.

I'm an acrylic painter- is there anything similar to the oil sticks that you use in acrylic? (I'm new, so forgive me if this is common knowledge and I'm asking a dumb question)
