Monkey Mia is the place to visit on a visit to WA. And, if you looking for a Secret BEACH with 4WD / Camping in WA, then this is the video for you. The style of camping is wild yet semi organised, the sites are large and have clean drop toilets, if you haven't got your own. Over the dune and down to the lagoon, or setup your comfy chair on the purpose built platforms for viewing the ocean or afternoon drinks to watch the sunset.

And then there's Monkey Mia, it is everything you could want for in a tourist campsite. Camping ranges from tenting all the way to luxuriously appointed villas.

If you are thinking of visiting a few national parks in WA over a period of a week or more (total for the year), then you would be advised buying a yearly WA parks sticker $120 with some discounts. Otherwise, it is $15 per day in the national parks around WA.

back in 1990, there were at least 15 to 20 dolphins in the pod, and on that occasion, due to the number of excited tourists there, a mum and her calf left the group and came down to us about 50 metres away from the crowd. we were privileged to not only be visited by them, but mum let us pet them both. the tourists saw this and began running towards us to wit, mum took her calf to deeper waters, not before giving us that beautiful dolphin smile.... the photos and memories i have are priceless. thanks for sharing your experience's..

We lived in Carnarvon in the early seventies & used to go to shark bay. Back then it was a rough dirt road from the highway. I swam with the dolphins, a lady used to feed them. There was no rangers back then. I swam where the stromatolites are as it wasn't famous like it is now. Dad caught a huge sea snake at night off that main beach using a long net. Happy memories 😊
