58:54 you can see a gleaming of what makes Dr. McGilchrist such a powerful thinker and researcher. He ends his sentence with "that's not how it works" in summing up the response to a question asked by an audience member. He stops speaking, but after a second, you see his eyes light up and he says: "as I understand it". It's never finished, and he's very aware of that, for a moment you could see the gloss of Whitehead's process theory on McGilchrist's thinking.

AWESOME!!! The suppressed right hemisphere should become once again the benevolent master of our consciousness. Reducing as much as possibe the relentless inner dialogue of the left hemisphere with itself is the best way to achieve it.

I remember reading an article stating that humans individuals with more connexions between both hemispheres had a higher emotional quotient (can't remember which paper), while those with less connecting neurons were more easily overwhelmed. The same paper stated that you can't change this neurological property, even with exercises.
In another paper, the narcissistic types can master emotions easier (control, play, act with their state of mind, and manipulate other people), but are often unable to identify their own deeper natural emotions, as well as others' (Semerari, Lotti, 2003)...

All animals remarkably and in actuality to a far greater degree synchornize their movements and vocalizations (albeit not "human language") into affect experientially felt higher gestalts and if you will, "patterms of meaning" although not in a defined "conscious human terms."

I really disagree with giving gender to the different sides of the brain and to the brain generally. Tendency is not an absolute and this way of thinking gives rise to social gender issues and ridged gender ideology.
