Freeing slaves, only to heavily tax them. And the Sheriff is called the cruelest lord.

Edit: I've tried this on a smaller scale. 100 slaves generated about 4000 gold (plus their cost) by the time I've stabilized my popularity.

I used to do this all the time in SHC, almost always right after killing a lord i'd do this (albeit with a much smaller army) just because I couldn't heal up my army

Actually it would've been even better to use laddermen for this, as they are the cheapest unit in the game(only 4 GOLD), so u would've saved an additional 1/5th of the gold that u spent on slaves lol.

Works especially well in Extreme. Slaves there spawn faster than peasants disappear

I think you should recruit ladderman not slaves, and you should turn off granary

What's funny is this trick is even more effective when you do it in stronghold 2 especially if you pause the game when you disband, one man at arms can be as many as you want in peasents

I usually call this as peasant farming. I always do this even in multiplayer with friend. XD

Interesting. But would that be faster to make triple the amount by spamming slaves, or just advancing normally?
