I have crossed into the multiverse where Kurt is still alive and covering his drummers songs…

I like this guy's vocals. That raspy, gritty drawl is always a good draw.

Alternate universe: Kurt survives, Dave makes music as a side project, Kurt makes Everlong cover in 1997 MTV Unplugged

As someone who spent many years attempting to perfect my imitation of Kurt’s trademark voice, style, and mannerisms, this is spot-on!

If someone showed me this and told me this was an old video of Kurt I would believe them. Absolutely outstanding Kurt impersonation 👏👏👏

I guess when you name your band Nirvana you get a golden ticket for reincarnation, sound, play and match Kurt's unique style perfectly, even the purposeful voice crack. Totally wicked dude

Maybe I can see her again someday.

Dudes voice cracks just like Kurt's did 😏 he should be doing a Nirvana tribute band and making millions

The craziest thing is this sounds like a song he would write

His strummings are spot on... If Kurt covered it he'd probably do exactly like this since his style is more on grunge and punk

Cool shit!it actually sounds almost natural to me, I've always wondered which foo songs would have made it as a Nirvana recording eventually, I would definitely say that one&I could see Alone+easy target also then maybe x-static, weenie beenie &maybe good grief from the first album, could also maybe Kurt letting Dave sing Big Me&that song making onto Nirvana record sooner or later

the best kept secret Kurt actually wrote everlong in the back of a tour bus and dave was the only one with a copy, saved it for the second album so no one would suspect. Pat Smear was in on it, but he had everything to gain because he was finally properly a part of the foo fighters rather than just an extra hand like he was in Cobain's Nirvana.
