I made it with the cream cheese…no regretz. I let it cool overnight in the fridge, for some reason the more you let it rest the better it gets . Day 3 flan leftovers were insanely good

Carmel-
Sugar
Water
Medium-high heat
Until Carmel color
1 package room temp cream cheese
6 eggs
Mix until smooth
1 can evaporated milk
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 tbsp vanilla
Mix until smooth
Pour onto caramel
Pour boiling water
325f 50 mins
Cool down
Done

Perhaps put roasting pan on rack in oven. Next pour water around flan pan. Eliminates the need to transport boiling water in a roasting pan from counter to oven. 👍🏻

I made this yesterday. Absolutely amazing. Family loved it. They were unsure when I told them that I needed cream cheese. They never heard of cream cheese in flan. We all really enjoyed it in the end. Thanks John for this amazing dish!

I made flan without cream cheese for the first time. Came out really good. Didn’t put hot water when placing it in the oven though. Just cold tap water and it still came out really good.
