I started drumming about a year ago, and your videos have been really informative and entertaining for me!

1 year ago I bought the Roland td-17kvx2. A lot of the reasons behind that was due to your videos. I made the right choice. Thank you.

I had the module problem with boot loop and humming. I submitted a ticket and they had a module on the way before I sent the defective one back. Their support is top tier and they have gained a customer for life. Nobody has ever taken care of an issue like that. The kit is phenomenal IMO. It’s smaller sizes but same functionality as far as pads go. Increases accuracy, honestly. I don’t gig so I don’t need all the outputs of the bigger module. This is for the strata core.

I have the nitro pro and like he said, its a great kit for sure. I play relatively hard and no issues for the past 3 months of constant daily plays for about 2 hrs.

I started drumming around 2 years ago, and I've been watching you the whole time. Whenever I need advice for what gear to buy, the first thing I do is search your channel. I'm lucking for a new drumset and you released these videos at the perfect time! Thanks Justin!

I got a Strata Prime used at Guitar Center for $2, 300, and then bought the expansion pack at Sweetwater for an extra $1000. Best purchase ever!

You used my comment in your video about module issues. I feel YouTube famous now!

When I doubt something about a Yamaha or Roland kit, this is my go-to channel.

Great video. I bought an Alesis Strike Pro SE last year and love the kit. I play metal on it everyday and I highly recommend it if you can still get your hands on one, even if it's used. The only cons I've noticed after owning it for nine months are:
- The HiHat was a pain in the ass until I spent time in the module playing with it. Now it works really well.
- The cymbal chokes aren't always reliable unless you really emphasize the choke. Hitting one handed chokes are definitely not reliable. Might be a settings issue.
- I haven't figured out how to input the modules metronome other than tapping the tempo. I have to use my phone with an Aux connected to accurately set metronome tempo.
- I'm getting crosstalk with the ride when I hit the floor tom. I haven't attempted to fix it yet.

I'm very much looking forward to expanding my Strike Pro SE rather than upgrading to the Strata Prime.

I've been thinking about getting back into drumming after many years. These comprehensive edrum videos that Justin makes are so valuable and appreciated, because I've never owned an electronic drum set, just accoustic ones.

As a guitarist and non-drummer, these videos are hugely useful, when looking at buying a first kit for my son.

So far the alesis strata prime has worked well for me. They updated it 3 or 4 times already, thats always nice. The updates are super easy, you just click on update and itll update thru your wifi.

Just wanted to drop a quick note of thanks for your channel. Just found it today. I enjoy that you are substance and not flare and give logical advice. On our way to buy a nitro pro for my son who is wanting to play drums.

Awesome! These are great! I'd love one on EFNote as well, especially now with the 3 having been updated since your last video on their lineup!

I just plugged my efnote 5 into a small Rockville mixer. It sounds amazing so real i never hear anyone talk about this. It's ridiculous how much better it sounds with eq and louder.

Efnote make the best edrums end of question. They sound amazing and are pretty well priced compared to Roland and Yamaha. I used to have a Roland and when I bought my efnote 5x the sound alone was a huge improvement, sounds so natural and real, I also love the simplicity of the modules. Hated all of the editing bs that came with Roland modules that I never used anyway. For me efnote is the clear winner of the edrum market

Thanks Justin for your informative edrum videos! I bought my current Strike Pro SE kit based off of some of your previous videos, and I absolutely love the kit. You're absolutely right, that it isn't a great kit right out of the box, but once you get it setup correctly, it feels amazing to play - it just takes quite a lot of work to get it there.

For helping people. The Alesis Surge Mesh SE was my first e drum kit. I was happy because I learned a lot about edrums without spending a lot of money and I had very good feelings, of course in my first 6 mouths I wanted to change to a pro edrum (I was a drum player for over 14 years), so I bought the Roland TDKV27, but if the TD27 was my first edrum maybe I could have had bad edrum experience because the td27 module is very complex.

But I think right now the Alesis Nitro Pro is the same option but newer. But in the video is perfectly explained.
