Kylian Mbappe 'deserves' to win the Ballon d'Or in 2023 over Lionel Messi and Erling Haaland, PSG teammate Achraf Hakimi believes

The Moroccan international supported Mbappe to win football's most coveted individual award for the first time after seeing the Frenchman guide PSG to a 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

In an interview with beIN Sports France, Hakimi stated, "Compared to what he did this year, he deserves to win the Ballon d'Or." He's a fantastic talent, and I'm hoping he can win this year."

Messi is presently the favorite to win his eighth Ballon d'Or after Argentina won the World Cup in Qatar last year. Haaland is also in the running after scoring 56 goals in his rookie season with Manchester City, who won the Premier League and the Premier League Cup.

Mbappe failed to win the World Cup as France lost to Argentina in the final in 2023, although he was the tournament's best scorer and scored 41 goals for PSG in 2022-23.

Luis Enrique's team is scheduled to play Marsmatch in Ligue 1 on Sunday.
