Entries that deserved more and ended low - my top 3 most underrated/robbed in the GRAND FINAL songs in each year (2011-2021).
It's only me personal opinion, so please respect.

Finland being underrated (most of) years when it qualified to Grand Final

I think that Monster in 2018 was a good song. It didn't deserve that place!

Greece & Iceland 2012, definitely 👍🏻
All three in 2013 deserved at least top 20.
Yes, Rise Up. So robbed!
Black Smoke deserved better (own country bias)
Czech Republic & Hungary 2016 should have done better.
Yes, Gravity was underrated.
Kruna as well.
Poor UK, I feel so bad for them. Azerbaijan was also underrated.

I very much agree with Slovenia 2018, But in 2019 I think Malta definetly deserved a better space, At least the top 10, And I 100% agree with 2021 San Marino and 2019 Spain.

Agree on almost everything but would have taken poland, Azerbaijan and Armenia for 2017. 2015 and 2014 had so much underrated songs

1 FINLAND was my winner.
2 GEORGIA deserved top3 or at least top5.
3 ESTONIA deserved at least top10.
4 I can’t understand how SLOVENIA missed the top10.
5 FRANCE had a bad performance but the song was by far the best of the year and still had to be in the top10.


[2012]
1 ICELAND should be 3rd after Sweden and Albania.
2 NORTH MACEDONIA had clear top5 material.
3 How did CYPRUS miss the top10??
4 Yes I know ALBANIA got the 5th place but for such an EPIC ULTRA-MASTERPIECE that’s really not enough.
5 MOLDOVA deserved better than the 12th place but mostly PORTUGAL and BULGARIA were robbed of their spot in the Final.

[2013]
Hmm the ones you mentioned were even overrated for me. They shouldn’t have been in the Final to begin with.
From the Final only Romania was seriously underrated but I can’t help mentioning the biggest crime of 2013. Montenegro didn’t even qualify to Final while should be in the Final top5 (yeap instead of Russia).

[2014]
1 SWITZERLAND was for top5 for sure.
2 UNITED KINGDOM yeap robbed.
3 FRANCE was not great but definitely too cool and interesting to end up dead last.

[2015]
LOL For me Germany 2015 was one of the best deserved last places ever.
2015 was the year of the hugest robberies.
1 SPAIN was a such a WINNER!
2 FRANCE got almost last with a truly AMAZING and touching entry.
3 AUSTRIA got 0 points for this very proper entry. Songs like this have had spots in the top5 of other years.
4 ARMENIA deserved better but that’s nothing compared to Czechia not even qualifying.
MALTA staying out of the final instead of challenging for the victory tops all of those though.

[2016]
1 LATVIA was my winner.
2 CROATIA had the best song. Even with the not so good presentation should be in the top10.
3 HUNGARY was for a better result for sure.
Then yes France and Poland were in the top10 but should have climbed even higher. And Norway was missing from the Final and from the top10.

[2017]
1 UNITED KINGDOM had top3 material!
2 UKRAINE got terribly underrated. That was new.
3 ARMENIA deserved better.
Also I missed Finland and Ireland from the Final.

[2018]
1 ITALY! Yes got the 5th place but this entry had no true competition. It was so clearly the best song, it was of an other league. There should have been no doubt that it would win. I can’t believe that the televoters supported this more than the juries. Absolutely scandalous.
2 HUNGARY robed so badly. Top5 material for sure.
3 LITHUANIA should be in the top5 too.

[2019]
Iceland deserved higher than 10th, Lithuania should be in the Final but nothing compares to the crime of having Portugal disqualified with such an EPIC entry!

[2020]
Such a crime that Eurovision didn’t happen. They were all so terribly underrated as after so much effort and inspiration they didn’t get to present what they had made for us. For a few of them it was a once in a lifetime opportunity. :(
Plus it was a crime that I didn’t see the Netherlands winning again with that absolute masterpiece. And that I will never know if my hopes had any connection to reality.

For me only Belgium was seriously underrated in 2021. Everyone else I cared about came quite close to what they deserved.
