I think MDI needs some kind of reformatting to make it exciting. Every time I tune in, I just see two groups reciting their rehearsal and one team is clearly going to win.. for 15 minutes. When I watched the recent AWC, even when teams lost 3-0, it had exciting moments where it almost turned. MDI by contrast feels like if one team gets 15 seconds ahead or a death, the other team just plays safer and wins. Not saying there is never exciting moments, but they are so rare that I'd much rather see a highlight compilation than ever watch it live.
Am I alone?

Maybe some kind of reason for teams to do riskier things. Keystone level drafting maybe? Where a team picks something super high because they feel more confident, but if they go too high and neither team can complete it in time, the one who didn't pick it wins by default. I have no idea, but I'd like to find this more interesting.
