Fabulous musical score for one of the finest films of the Western genre. Brando’s moody personality was a perfect match for the main character. The love scene on the beach with that beautiful haunting score was a gem!

Starring Marlon Brando, who also directed the picture, "One-Eyed Jacks" is considered as one of the greatest westerns ever.
Next to Brando the fantastic Karl Malden gives an award-worthy performance of his role.
The not lesser-great Hugo Friedhofer provided a very memorable and intense score.

Marlon Brandon did not made a lot of westerns but this movie is one of the greatest western of all time

I like this composition. Never seen the movie. I found out that it was Marlon Brando's only direction movie he made in his long career. Interesting.
The "timing section" in this piece at # 7:54 - 8:34 is really great (in my opinion) because of it's "dramatic chords with the brass instruments" [This is especially neat for those who have via Microsoft the ""Realtek HD Audio Manager" put in "ARENA" sound mode. Cool!
Friedhofer wins again in another great score, Fred!

I saw the movie One Eyed Jack's for the first time this year Aug.2020. I loved it, the music in the scenes with Rio and Louisa I fell in love with. Beautiful. They were great together. She was beautiful with such sadness in her eyes in the scenes.
The actress committed suicide a few years later. I was really saddened by that.
