This is my 1971 Toyota Celica. Over the past year, I have been tinkering with the side draft carburetors. I was never able to get them to run quite right. I noticed I might have a small intake air leak. After replacing the gasket/spacer, I was able to get the carbs tuned and the engine running smooth. Make sure your subscribed to the channel for more! Drive video coming soon!

Nice ride bro, I had a 71 like yours and also a 73 and my last one was an 81 GT all with factory A/C, thanks for posting and drive safe.

Good find! I spent many years tuning dual SU carburetors and I know it can be extremely tricky to figure out where the problem lies, ESPECIALLY when it's something like an incorrect part. Great job analyzing the problem and tracing it back to the source. 👍

New Sub here, and I say Man! for a young gun you sure are lucky at finding these old Toyotas! I been looking for a 70s Hilux for a few years now with no luck! Keep up the good work! glad to see the younger generation taking interest in old vehicles! Interested in riding along and seeing your progress!

Hello, I need to ask a question. I have my toyota celica RA28 with the 18rg engine. I have mounted the weber 45dcoe carburettors but the engine works badly because a lot of gasoline enters. Could someone who has this configuration tell me what jet size they have?
Thank you.
