"Crash reported ahead".

That was poetry.

7:44 - Really dude? Most normal people would have moved over to the right even just a foot or so, and been a little courteous to the oncoming truck.

4:17 Sure didn't look like his "slipping brakes" he was looking at.

7:48 Seeing the postal carrier vehicle in the lane of travel, and knowing that the semi would have to move over, you had ample room to your right to give both the postal worker and the semi more space by moving over. You noted the icy road conditions yet expected the semi to lock up the brakes at approximately 30, 000 empty with no traction on the trailer tandems or up to 80, 000 loaded with no ability to stop in time. You endangered both their lives and your own by not just moving over a little for everyone's safety. At 7:46 the trailer tires are still on his own side of the road.

1:28 #5. Suspected case of dash-cammer self-righteousness here. “I have a camera so I’ll take no avoiding action and just watch this guy hit me…”

I’m not exonerating the blue BMW driver here, they’re still responsible to merge safely. But the cammer could have easily avoided this.

“Did not slow down due to traffic behind me… “

It’s not like they had to do an emergency stop, slowing by a mere 5 mph would have done the job.

#13 "My brakes slipped, " while I was looking at my phone. Hope he at least got a ticket.

7:38 You claim the roads are icy and it was snowing, yet you still travel at 55mph?? SLOW DOWN if the roads are like that!! And the mail truck only comes down this road once a week?? I live in Ohio and my mail is delivered 6 times a week, not just once a week. As for the BIG RIG, they never crossed the center line. Why crowd/hug the line, yourself, when you could clearly see what was happening?? It's not like YOUR vehicle is wider than the Rig and you had plenty of room to move over enough and still be between the lines. At least there's a shoulder on this road. There are no road shoulders where I live and we still manage just fine.

Remember to never ever let off the gas for 1 second to let someone in front of you. Always continue on and get hit. That is much easier than losing a position.

5:52 "Watch out, crash reported ahead"
Me: Damn, that was fast lmao

5:27 #16. Cammer completely fails to understand that they nearly got into an accident because they were tailgating. They talk as if they’re completely helpless in the situation.

“Going 100km coming up to a completely stopped car may be the scariest thing.”

With the visibility and stopping distance which you get by NOT TAILGATING, that won’t happen.

1:27 I understand its the merger job to merge safely but I would change lanes if I could

7:37 the semi didn't come that much into your lane. On top of it, you could've easily gotten into the shoulder and not hold your position

1:24 - 1:50 I'm calling bs: "due to traffic behind me"! It took almost 17 seconds before another car passed on the right lane after they made contact, which means that traffic was at least a 1/4 of a mile behind the cammer. Easily could have slowed and done defensive driving, but of course "mah lane, mah lane, mine mine".

1:01 "You'd think the rain would make people slow down but it doesn't" Says the guy that follows too close for conditions.

23: You have 3-4 feet to your right. Move over a little.

7:47 - Let's take a moment to think about this.
The roads are slippery. A PO truck is on the shoulder. A semi with who knows how much tonnage is coming up on it.
It shouldn't take a genius to realize that the cammer should have drifted a little to the right to give the semi space.
We all share the road!

#16, if you weren’t tailgating, you wouldn’t have come up on a completely stopped car at 100kph.
