The Quad Cities, a bustling area in the 1940's and 1950's. Today, not so much. Look at this newscast...it is all about wet steps in a park.

God is just replenishing what was lost in the last few years. This is a good situation to have; verse a dry very low Mississippi river.

It's worse in the Red River Valley. At least the Mississippi River is open and flows south.

As a fellow Davenporter, we can only prepare as much as we can.

The Mississippi River may be very wide but it is really quite shallow, Davenport is located on the banks of the Mississippi River. At this point the river has a maximum depth of around 30 to 40 feet (9.1 to 12.2 m) and is 2, 217 feet (676 m) wide where the Centennial Bridge crosses it.
