Frank provided the monetarist theory of inflation, and it's the wrong diagnosis for the inflation we are experiencing (it's corporations jacking up prices far beyond their cost increases, because they can. What are you gonna do about it?). The reason why this explanation is always provided is because it comes out of the pockets of the working class and goes right to the upper class. So it makes sense why Frank subscribes to it.
