Paxcess 50Watt Foldable Solar Panel Charger Unboxing Demo Review PT1 (With Cloudy Day Test)
What is UP YouTube! Back again and happily enough to say, unexpectedly having a Sunday Amazon arrival,i am excited to bring you the FIRST part installment of the next Gen series of Review videos! Here today we (finally) have the along waited for Paxcess 50W foldable and extremely portable,of course versatile,Solar Panel charging array! With a whopping 4 panels measuring in at over 12" each per panel, thing seriously ready to pack some serious output power in optimal sunlight. As you can see from later in the videos demonstration in extemely cloudy overcast and slightly mist-rainy conditions. Worst case scenario, and obviously not an optimal time for solar energy as most high end panels used for houses can only produce a mere 10-25% of their potential max generation capacity without the direct sunlight with clear skies. However,as shown in the video after testing indoors by simply having the panels open with a lamp on and window open, causing enough light energy to still be converted through the panels to cause the device to power itself on with the indicator light. Having only generated a minimal 2.55Volts of power. Despite the voltage test outdoors with a Lux reading between 1800-5000 (lux sensor aimed at brightest area of the sky, similarly as the solar panels would be facing)
Not at all bright out! Typical very clear sunny day gives me a reading of between 20,000-100,000 Lux. Mid afternoon around 2-4Pm
UV index at current test time was around 3.8 via online web weather. Giving you an good idea of just how much more power this thing has to offer! With that being said, however i was NOT able to run sufficent power using the onboard 3-PORT-USB Charger/Junction Box controller unit on the panels to charge my phone or Alien 220W mod. Repeated cycle of start/end charging. Not surprising seeing as the setting isnt at all optimal. None the less a very good sign of quality panels. It did however manage to read a voltage peak of over 20V in extremely cloudy conditions.
(Tested using Lux sensor with Galaxy Note 3 Sensors App) very promising and cant wait to follow up in optimal setting with both solar generators to test alongside!
Will cover further data and details in the second PT2 review! Will be including BOTH 100W paxcess solar generator and 250W Rockpals Solar Generator to test demonstrate this Paxcess 50W Solar Charging Kit and the Solar generators in prime action (Charging)
As well as UPS,output functionality wattage, amperage, current, draw and much more well detailed tests and results. So stay tuned!
